As Michael said, i3 is part of official EPEL repositories (http://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/buildinfo?buildID=257458). You should enable EPEL in your RHEL or CentOS. Google "EPEL" how to do it and install it then.

Btw installing Fedora packages in RHEL is not recommended, but it usually works. Depends on which Fedora version you select.

Answer by Michael for
Is there a CentOS package available I can use to install?

You could’ve just googled for "centos i3", that brings up (for example) http://pkgs.org/centos-6-rhel-6/epel-x86_64/i3-4.0.1-1.el6.x86_64.rpm.html.

AFAIK, CentOS packages are based on RHEL, which is (somewhat?) based on Fedora. And there are up-to-date Fedora packages for i3. Maybe you can even use the Fedora packages in CentOS?

Comment by DaveCoble for
You could’ve just googled for "centos i3", that brings up (for example) http://pkgs.org/centos-6-rhel-6/epel-x8664/i3-4.0.1-1.el6.x8664.rpm.html.
