Before upgrading to utopic everything was working quite well just by starting `gnome-settings-daemon`.

After this upgrade, it turns out you need to start `unity-settings-daemon` instead.

But unity settings daemon does not fix everything gnome-settings-daemon fixed, for example:

* Brightness adjustment with libnotify notifications
* suspend on low power
* low power warnings

And a few more things.

What do you use with i3 and utopic instead of `gnome-settings-daemon`?

Thanks

I'll be reinstalling soon, so I'll run into it again. I'll let you know if you don't know more by then already anyway.
