i3bar icons and dual monitor

I have a dual monitor setup and the i3bar icons are pushed all the way to the end of my second monitor on the right. Is there a way to force the icons to appear on my "main" monitor. Alternatively is it possible to make them appear on both monitors. I'm using nVidia graphics card with the latest drivers.
