How to add a monitor to show a fixed workspace, and while switching to this workspace, both outputs show it?

For example, I want to use VGA1 to always show workspace 9, but when I switch to workspace 9, I can view it from both LVDS1 and VGA1.

I have read articles in i3 User Guide about multi-monitor. It seems that there are only tips about both outputs displaying the same thing (give a presentation) and different outputs displaying totally different things (extend mode? In this mode, a workspace can't be viewed in both outputs at the same time).

I think this is not possible since i3 assigns a single tag to each display. I mean, there is no way to assign or view a tag in both displays at the same time (AFAIK)
