Disable border if only one window is opened on a workspace

I'm looking for a way to automatically disable borders if a window is alone on a workspace. My current setup is "border pixel 1", so I can distinguish between more opened windows on one workspace.

Anybody knows what should I do?

I actually have the same question, only hideedgeborders both doesn't cut it for me. That setting only gives me what I want when having only one container/window open: no borders. If I have say two stacked terminals open, this setting will only show a border inbetween those terminals. Using pixel 1

I guess this answers your question:

hide_edge_borders <none|vertical|horizontal|both>

Seems like I have to read the documentation more carefully. I totally missed this, probably thought it's just another option to set normal border size. Thanks for answering, by the way.
