Is it possible to change colors of i3-input?

I already read in another question that unfortunately it is not possible to change the position of i3-input because it is hardcoded. Although, I could not find any information in the docs about it and thus the answer is probably the same,

I would very much like to know if it is possible to change colors of borders and background of i3-input.
