Modkey stops working after entering resize mode
How do i get out of resize mode? After I press modkey+shift+r all keyboard commands stop working.

You must return to "default mode". I think by default this is done with Escape. Have a look into your config file, inside of the 'mode "resize"' section should be a command like bindsym Escape mode "default", but you can use any key you want there.
