I use .xinitrc to launch two terminals and a browser in the same workspace. I would like to automate the placement of these 3 apps - the browser taking up 2/3 of the screen on right and the two terminals stacked vertically on the left.
Is this possible and how could I do it? Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

The key is ensuring a suitable wait period, which the function above does nicely. Also just learned from "Tucos" on the #i3 IRC channel that i3-exec-wait would have done the same: https://github.com/drbig/i3-exec-wait
