aberration on rendering [closed]

Hi,

Sometimes when I run some CPU intensive task. The rendering the windows develops aberrations. The fonts/images gets smudged. Here is a screenshot.

This is very likely not a problem in i3, since you are seeing problems with the window contents, and i3 is entirely out of the loop there. i3 only renders the window _decorations_.

You might have luck with a compositor running. Have a look at this Q&A about comption.

Yes, after having tried Compton for the last week, Compton does not seem to solve this problem. Technically it should. So I can still see the same kind of screen aberrations at-times even when running i3 alongwith Compton. (i am starting Compton from i3 config file.)

I am not a specialist, but please update your question with your video hardware and drivers, kernel, distribution. You might be better off at your distribution's support channels..
