How to write a for_window statement with WM_NAME

I am using a program that does not set WMCLASS properly. I can find a pattern in the WMNAME, but i3 does not accept name="XYZ" and instance="XYZ" does not work either. What can I use?

As per the userguide, you can match for WM_NAME with title.
