i3bar Error: status_command not found (exit 127)

In the i3bar area, there are the workspace numbers at the left, and at the right there is this error.

There seems to be an error in your i3 configuration. What is the output of `grep status_command ~/.i3/config`?

What version of i3, i3status respectively are you using? Updating to the current version of both programs fixed it for me last time.

Get version numbers:

i3 -v

i3status -v

I found that `i3status` was not installed with the `i3-wm` apt package. Installing it manually has solved the problem.
