how to start a standard unity or gnome guest session without closing my i3 session

In Unity I used to leave my session locked and let my kids use the pc with a guest session. I use now i3 on ubuntu 14, and I don't know the command to launch to tell the session manager to open a second session on guest account leaving mine locked.
