How can I make windows in i3 look like they do in gnome?

I understand that i3 is not a desktop environment, but I don't know where to set the window style. Could you give me a hint or at least a keyword?

Hmm, I found out that what I am searching for is a "theme". Now the question is how to set the theme in i3wm.

airblader: I tried reading the linked articles, but I didn't figure out how to do it. I found that lxappearance can change the look of firefox, but lyx looks still the same.

What distro are you running? Did you try creating the GTK 2.0/3.0 files as mentioned in the link?

Run qtconfig.

This doesn't really help me. What will I have to insert? Lets say I want the theme qtCurve.

You asked for a hint or a keyword. I gave you both. I don't know what you mean by "insert." If you want qtCurve then run qtconfig and pick it from the menu. If qtCurve is not installed, then install it. You know what it's called, so figuring out how to install and use it is the next logical step.

I didn't get qtconfig is a programm. I thought it was a file like ~/.config/qtconfig or ~/.qtconfig (thats why I wanted to know what to 'insert' into that file). Thank you.
