$mod+d exec sudo?

I am trying to open: virt-manager (for KVM purposes, of course) The only way I can open it now is through the terminal with elevated sudo privileges.

When I try to open virt-manager with $mod+d exec virt-manager, it fails to open due to privilege issues.

sudo needs a Terminal to get the input from. Use a graphical sudo-like program, for example gksudo or kdesu.

What would be the difference if I just kept a terminal screen opened and executed: virt-manager versus using gksudo? EDIT: Nevermind, I guess I if I use the terminal to use sudo privileges, I can just use mod+shift+q to close the window, but the KVM is still running :)
