i3 rendering feels really slow(Probably gpu driver failure)

Hello,

I use Arch Linux with Xfce right now. I installed i3 and now I can login into an i3 session from the xfce session manager. However when I use sublime text for example everytime I type a letter or do some other action the whole window freezes for a second. I notice the same behaviour in chromium. While It works fine in xfce.
