When someone wants to send me a file via Skype the "File Transfers"-window just does not appear but the other side gets told that I need to accept the file. When I use Cinnamon for example it works. What can I do?
Have you configured Skype windows to open in floating mode? Might be that the file transfer window is being hidden by another Skype window? Here I am having no problems of that kind. In my config I use
