Hi all,

I use a weechat inside a tmux over ssh to access IRC. On my laptop with Linux Mint and Cinnamon everything work just fine. But on my workstation with gentoo and i3, the shortcut alt+a doesn't work. It doesn't seem to be used by anything.

How can I make it work with weechat ?

Thank you in advance

Is Alt the modified you use for i3? If so, the default keybinding for Alt+a in i3 would be "focus parent".

Sorry for not making it clear, but I use the super key as modifier, and I don't have any binding with alt in my i3 config

Is `Alt+a` perhaps used by tmux?

It is not, since I have the same stack on my laptop and it works fine. The only differences are OS and WM

Can you use a keybinding with alt outside of your terminal? Can you use a alt in a different terminal? Can you see the alt key press in xev?
