I just started using i3 with a multimonitor setup. Something which I wasn't expecting is the workspace logic. In dwm, you have n workspaces on each monitor. In i3 it seems you have n workspaces across monitors. Is there some way to have the dwm logic in i3?
You could divide workspaces and assign 1-5 to one monitor, 6-10 to the other one (or some other schema). Then, you can use something like "workspace 1; workspace 6" as command to switch both workspaces at once.
Or you just adapt to the way i3 works ;-).
