How does emacs work in i3?
I was considering trying out i3. After see the docs and videos, I am wondering how emacs works in i3. Since $mod is bound to the Alt key, will it interfere with applications that also bind to the Alt key?

You can choose another key, in fact many people rather prefer using 'Super' than 'Alt'.
When you launch i3 for the first time, you will be asked what key to use as $mod.
It just works awesome. I used Win-key (mod4) for my meta key, and everything is fine ;-)
