using some other pager than i3 bar to show workspaces

I am running i3 as a WM for XFCE, I am also using XFCE panel instead of i3 bar, its all looking and working pretty darn good except I cannot get the XFCE workspace pager to show more than one workspace, I tried many other pagers but some of them will dont even start and other will start but show only one workspace.

Is there a way I can use a treditional (?) pager to display all my i3 workspaces ?

I experienced the same thing with PerlPanel, Gnome Classic Panel, and LXPanel. Looking forward to an answer.
