i3bar size and java's SystemTray

However I change the size of the i3bar (through increasing and decreasing the font), java's SystemTray always returns the same width and height (24) from getTrayIconSize()

I'm wondering if

  • changing the font size is the "correct" way of changing the i3bar size
  • why isn't java being updated when the size changes

Thanks in advance :)

  1. Yes, it is.
  2. Dunno. Does it work with other tray applications like stalonetray or trayer?

No, it gives the same size (24) whether its stalonetray, i3bar or gnome's tray... I guess java's api is broken :p
