i3bar (py3status) applet position

I'm trying to figure out if there is a way to force i3bar's applets to be on a particular monitor. does anyone know if this is possible? all my applets (dropbox, redshift, etc.) show up on my left monitor, but I'd like them to be on my center monitor with py3status.
