how to integrate a cli in i3bar that can be activated with shortcut key ( shift+; )
and showing latest rss and email notification as they arrive?
what email and rss daemon do you suggest?
If you wanted to have all applications in the bar, you would not need a window manager ;)
Would recommend looking in notification daemons, they are more fit for the purpose. Dunst will show you past notifications with a configurable shortcut.
