Hi

How do I create a new workspace without having to explicitly specify the number? Example: I am on workspace 2 and I want to create a new workspace. Can I tell i3 to automatically create whatever number is next in the series without me telling it to create workspace 3?

No, this is not possible in i3 itself. But have a look at this discussion, on possibilities on how to implement this externally.
